We’re excited to announce the launch of the Fuse Ember testnet — the pre-mainnet playground for Fuse’s new ZKEVM Layer 2 blockchain. Built for real-world adoption, the testnet empowers developers and teams to deploy, test, and optimize their apps in a fast, low-cost environment.
Alongside the testnet, we’re launching a dedicated developer network page, plus a 3.9M FUSE Builder Grant Program to support and reward early projects. Whether deploying your first smart contract or migrating a successful dApp from another chain, now is the time to build.
What is the Fuse Ember Testnet?
Fuse Ember is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain built using Polygon CDK, with infrastructure powered by Avail and QuickNode. It’s designed to scale real-world payments and commerce with industry-leading speed, low cost, and seamless user experience, it’s the perfect environment to build products that scale:
- ⚡️ 9,000+ Transactions Per Second (TPS)
- 🧾 Near-zero txn fees
- 🔐 zkRollup security & Ethereum settlement
- 🧠 Built-in AI Agents & Account Abstraction
- 🌐 Cross-rollup interoperability
- 🔁 Seamless bridging, fast finality
- 🧠 AI-powered automation & integrations
- 🛠️ Full EVM compatibility (works with Solidity, Hardhat, etc.)
The testnet mirrors the upcoming mainnet, allowing builders to develop, test, and earn rewards in a production-like environment.
Activity on testnet earns you Fuse Ember Points, which will be redeemable at mainnet launch. So you’re not just testing, you’re getting ahead. Explore the network, deploy your first smart contract, or pitch us your app for a chance at a grant. The tools are ready. The testnet is live.

Infrastructure Powered by QuickNode — With More Coming
Fuse Ember is deployed using QuickNode’s Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS), ensuring the network benefits from reliable uptime, fast RPCs, and production-ready developer tooling from day one. The current testnet is live and ready for builders to deploy and test apps with real zkEVM architecture.
In the coming weeks, support for AggLayer and Avail will be added as part of the final testnet iteration ahead of mainnet launch. We’re working closely with the Polygon and QuickNode teams to ensure a smooth upgrade path — including the potential to migrate state to avoid any developer data loss.
What You Can Do on the L2 Testnet
Once onboarded, builders can:
- Deploy smart contracts with standard EVM tools
- Experiment with AI agent flows and account abstraction
- Test real-world payment and loyalty mechanics
- Interact with a modular, fast, and secure blockchain environment
The Fuse network page gives you everything you need to get started:
- 🔗 Add Ember testnet to your wallet
- 💧 Claim free testnet tokens from the faucet
- 🔍 Explore the block explorer
- 📚 Access full developer documentation
- 📝 Apply for grants: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLServsLcjBhksX0bGXsE9jwf8qixP4HlKq2jEiJmwEjFxPxX8w/viewform
FUSE Builder Grant Program
To jumpstart the Fuse Ember ecosystem, we’re launching a Builder Grant Program with a total of 3.9 million FUSE tokens in rewards.
This is your chance to get funded for building apps in the following categories:
- Payments & Loyalty
- Stablecoins
- Yield & Lending
- Gaming & NFTs
- Exchanges
- Community Tools & DePIN
- AI integrations
- Web3 infrastructure & tooling
We’ll select at least 3 winning teams, with the flexibility to reward more outstanding projects. Whether you’re early-stage or migrating from another chain, this is your opportunity to make an impact and be rewarded.
