If you have been keeping up with our Medium you should have seen the phrase “Token Generation Event” mentioned on multiple occasions and maybe wondering what it means.
A Token Generation Event (TGE) typically denotes the creation of the token by a project that is running on a blockchain and, more importantly, TGE is the event at which the token begins to get distributed publicly.
With a new, highly programmable token like Volt, a plethora of innovative opportunities are made available to holders. If you have taken part in one of the launchpad events on Poolz Finance and/or Infinity Pad, swapped Fuse for Volt during the Ecosystem Round, or been in any way involved with Voltage as a user over the past 18 months or so, then you likely have Volt Tokens coming to you!
Below we provide the ultimate guide on how to claim vested tokens, stake, migrate DEX liquidity, and receive airdrop tokens.
CLAIMING
This information is for Fuse Ecosystem Round Participants. If you participated in rounds via Poolz Finance or Infinity Pad, please refer to the respected launchpad for information about claiming.
Instructions:
- Head to voltage.finance (the website will update at 12pm UTC on 10th March).
- Scroll down to the Vesting Dashboard.
- Connect your wallet using wallet — the same wallet you used to participate in the Fuse Ecosystem Round(s).
- The round that you participated in will appear with a “claim button”.
- If you participated in more than one round, you will see claim buttons for each.
- Click claim and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- After clicking claim on one of the pools, another screen will appear showing how many tokens can be claimed immediately and how many tokens can be claimed thereafter as part of the daily vesting.
- Click “claim” and confirm the transaction in you wallet.
- Finally, you will see a screen that asks if you would like to add the VOLT token to your wallet. If you choose not to do this, it will need to be done manually or else your token balance will not be visible in your wallet.
STAKING
Once you’ve claimed your tokens, staking is one of the options available to you as to what to do with them. At TGE you can stake VOLT to receive xVOLT. It will then be up to the DAO, through proposals and votes, to decide what xVOLT does. Ideas can be posted on forum.voltage.finance. One such proposal has been posted here in which it is proposed that a % of trading fees on the DEX are directed towards xVOLT holders.
Our first vote is now live. Cast your vote at: https://snapshot.org/#/voltagefinance.eth/proposal/

Instructions for when staking goes live:
- Head to app.voltage.finance (the app will be updated before TGE).
- Go to the “Stake” tab on the left hand side.
- Type in how many VOLT you would like to stake.
- Click stake and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- The approximate APY for your stake will be shown above.
Note: xVolt staking will also be available via the “Farm” tab. Both tokens staked from the “Stake” and the “Farm” tab are held in the same pool.
LIQUIDITY MIGRATION
Liquidity migration is necessary when an AMM elects to change or update its smart contracts. It requires anyone who has liquidity or LP tokens placed in one of our current farms on Voltage Finance to migrate their liquidity to new pools using our easy to use interface designed with our community in mind.
Note: This guide is only applicable to you if you have LP tokens that are currently in contracts earning rewards. This is very important as the liquidity for the DEX needs to be moved to avoid high slippage on swaps.
Instructions:
- Go to either the “Pool” or “Farm” tab after entering the voltage.finance app.
OR
- Locate the “You have LP Tokens Ready to Migrate” card and click the Migrate button.
- There will be a drop down menu in the middle of your screen where you can select the liquidity you wish to migrate. You should do each pair that you have available.
- Migrate each of the token pairs you have individually to avoid any potential complications.
Example: you have 50 FUSE-FUSD LP tokens, 1 WBTC-WETH LP token, and 30 FUSE-BNB LP tokens. Perform each pair migration separately to make sure everything executes as it should.
- After signing the transactions in your wallet, you have successfully migrated your liquidity from the previous Fusefi smart contracts to the new Voltage smart contracts.
Info: If you fail/forget to do this, you will not earn fees due to the fact that the FuseFi pools will no longer be available for our community to swap between. Furthermore, you will not earn any bonus rewards such as FUSE or VOLT for providing liquidity.
AIRDROP
The airdrop claim function goes live on Friday 11th March. Follow the steps below to claim the airdrop:
- Click the “VOLT” button at the top right of your screen after entering the app.
- A pop-up box will appear on your screen.
- Select “Start the claiming process”.
- From here there will be an explainer to give you details on the utility of the VOLT token and its distribution.
- Read through the information clicking next as you go until you reach the end.
- You will come to an option labeled “Airdrop” with a claim button at the bottom.
- Click “Claim” and make sure to sign both the initial transaction to give access to your wallet and the second transaction to start the claim.
- The airdrop should be complete!
